Gzsuntheidt, Y’all ~ Monday’s Reviews

In the photo is a Stethoscope and Blood Pressure Cuff. "Gzsuntheidt, Y'all" by R. J. Pawlick with a black background.
G'day, Y'all,

Not my traditional greeting, but I’m not reviewing an ordinary situation. My family and I watched the movie “Patch Adams” yester-day, and after that, I Googled Patch Adams. He’s a real person, a real medical doctor, and a visionary.

His is one of those pull-yourself-out-of-the-muck events, and much better than the rags-to-riches stories.

Hunter (Patch) Adams began this adventure self-committed to an insane asylum for attempting suicide, it seemed his life lacked purpose and inspiration. By interacting with other patients, Patch helped his cellmate overcome debilitating fear. Patch’s career was born.

From this abysmal beginning, Patch became a medical doctor. His focus was non-traditional, and the staunchly conservative medical industry fought to suppress his revolutionary theories and methods.

In the end, Patch Adams becomes a legend. He still leads the Gesundheit Institute — now a global network of medical professionals, teachers, patients, and students. Proven non-traditional, holistic methods complement our western practices of medicating. In Patch’s case, his is not a job nor career - rather, his is a lifelong commitment to helping people.

Oh, why did I put “y’all” in this post? Patch Adams’ Gesundheit Institute is located in West Virginia, waaaaay out in the sticks. I swore I heard “Dueling Banjos” playing during the movie’s opening credits.
Have an excessively happy day!
