Hello ~ R.J. Pawlick Introduction

Hello,
R.J. Pawlick
I want to introduce myself.

I'm R.J. Pawlick.

I was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1963 into a military family. Experiences and favorite authors of the 1970's formed me into a descriptive author.

As a matter of fact, my favorite quote comes from Richard Bach's 70's Best-Seller,  Johnathan Livingston Seagull, "Dream what you dare to dream. Go where you want to go. Be who you want to be. LIVE!"

I am a global traveler who loves the outdoors, experiencing different cultures, listening to music, and writing stories.

I have been married 27 years to my college sweetheart. I am a father of four teenagers, two dogs, a cat, and a small tankful of fish.  I currently resides with my family in East Tennessee, in a little town at the base of the Smoky Mountains.

My promising career  in the US Air Force was cut short when I learned I was going blind. With specialized travel and job-training, I achieved success in marketing in the music and photography sectors, and spent the remainder of my career in the transaction-processing industry.

My desire to write took off when my deteriorating eyesight prevented me from remaining in the mainstream labor force.  Now, I'm a Blind Author.

I hope my blog proves to all that the blind and visually impaired are capable of so much more than sitting at home or working in sheltered workshops. My blog will help prove that we, too, can contribute positively to the global community.

  1. Hi Bob, I think it is great that you have your own blog. You sound very busy with four teenagers at home. I only have one - a 16-year-old son. Believe me, he keeps us on our toes. Hope you have a great time blogging. (Margo Chase Rice, LHS 1981)

    1. Hi Margo! Thank you for your support and encouragement. I appreciate your taking time to read and comment. If interested, please subscribe (you’d be my first. That’s something to brag about, right?). Have a nice day.

  2. Good for you!! I am dyslexic, so though I have a series of books I'd like to write, but I have so much fear around the written word. Nothing is impossible, it's just damn scary...keep going! :)

  3. Hi CJ! My sister’s name is also CJ, and she also has dyslexia. It still binds her up, but everything on this blogsite was coded and created by her. I’m the writer, and she is my publicist. She creates commercial websites, personal sites & blogs, writes copy for online product catalogs, and creates excellent book covers. Did I happen to mention that she is dyslexic?

I’d like to get you in touch with her. Perhaps she has experiences and desires similar to yours — talents waiting to burst out of you (not like in the Alien movies — I was after a pleasing visual *sigh*).

Also, I’d be willing to ghost-write your books for you (fee-based) or we could work on your books as a collaborative writing effort.

    My email address is: r.j.pawlick@gmail.com

I’ll probably get spybot’d to pieces posting that. Doesn’t matter as I hope my sister and/or I could help your stories blossom.

    Kindly,
    RJ (Bob)
