Weight Loss You Can Enjoy! ~ Tuesday’s Tips

G’day everyone, 
John Tesh, radio host, announced that it is possible to lose 5 extra pounds a year just by standing for 6 hours every day. I can’t think of anything more thrilling an stimulating than standing — just standing — for 6 lonely, aching hours every day —  for the rest  of your life just to lose 5 extra pounds per year. So, you’d rarely sit down at work and at home. Sitting time would probably be relegated to your daily commute. Oh, how fun that sounds!
What if you could tweak this, just a bit, and lose an extra 30 pounds a year instead of just 5? 
Here’s my secret:  Stay in bed. Ta-daa! That’ll be $49.95, please! 
“But, R.J.,” you say, “how can that be?”
Okay, here goes — try to keep up. Sleeping about 7 hours every night burns 300 calories (ref https://www.healthline.com/health/calories-burned-sleeping). So, let’s say you want to lose 30 pounds (oh, shut up, that’s most of you out there, and you know it). Anyway, a minor calculation proves that you could lose that 30 pounds in only 12 months … just by sleeping an extra 6 - 7 hours every night!
That’s right. Sleeping 14 hours per day will let you actually lose a gob of fat. Hey, the numbers don’t lie. You’ll see that!
You won't believe it, but my calculations are correct! 
The next time one of your co-workers or bros brags how s/he lost blah blah calories that day, just excuse yourself from the monologue, go home, and take a 7-hour nap. Leave the dorks standing there, searching their smart phones for deals on knee- and back-braces. 
What strange diets or weight-loss plans have actually worked for you? Which ones haven’t (like phony hoodiah pills did for me ten years ago With them, the only things I lost were my money and my patience.).
